WATER CONSERVATION

Water is not a commodity โ€“ water is life. If we destroy our water sources, we destroy future generations right now.
Conserving water saves energy. Energy is needed to filter, heat and pump water to your home, so reducing your water use also reduces your carbon footprint. Using less water keeps more in our ecosystems and helps to keep wetland habitats topped up for animals like otters, water voles, herons and fish. Keeping this in mind students of Class XI Rose conducted a Special Assembly on Water Conservation on Monday, 20th May 2024 at Schoolโ€™s Assembly ground. The assembly started by seeking the blessings of the almighty. The students shared the News and Thought for the day to set the tone of the assembly. The assembly highlighted the importance of conserving water through a Nukkad Natak. The assembly concluded with an oath where the students promised not to waste water and educate others to do the same.

A Special Assembly on โ€œWorld Day against Trafficking in Personsโ€ was conducted by class XII Rose in the school auditorium. The assembly was an amalgamation of information, knowledge as well as awareness. It comprised a talk show, a scribbled story of a victim, a random quiz a mime depicting stolen childhood, stolen memories and a solo song performance. Studentsโ€™ efforts and diligence were clearly visible in each presentation. The talk show apprised the audience with shocking and startling facts related to human trafficking, the reasons why one can fall prey to the traffickers and the ways to prevent oneself or others from being trafficked. The session witnessed students brainstorming, debating and pondering on this serious issue. The life of a victim as portrayed in the scribbled story was actually a true exemplification of a child being trafficked. His tears, emotions, frustration, depression were interpreted very well. The quiz tested the knowledge as well as attention of the students. The mime was rendered conscientiously by the students bringing out the sentiments, trauma, pain, suffering, and miseries of a girl being sold by her father in return for money and how she eventually rescued herself from the ordeal. The solo performance intensified the theme of the assembly and left everyone spellbound. The Principal Ms. Poonam Jha appreciated the class for putting up a stupendous show. In her words, โ€œIt was indeed thought provoking!โ€

Special Assembly on Forgiveness by VIII Daisy

A special assembly on the topic โ€œforgivenessโ€ was presented by the students of class VIII-daisy on 30th July in the school auditorium. The assembly began with the thought of the day followed by the news. Anant Upadhyaya spoke on the importance of forgiveness. The students presented a beautiful skit showing two contrast worlds, one where forgiveness exists and the other where there is no forgiveness. Through the skit one could clearly perceive that forgiveness results in happiness, love, harmony and friendship. The message of forgiveness was spelt out loud. Forgiveness is costly. It calls for honesty, for an awareness and acceptance of our own humanity. Holding a grudge does not make us strong, it makes us bitter. Forgiving doesnโ€™t make us weak, it sets us free. The students also presented beautiful quotes on forgiveness. The assembly came to a mesmerizing end with a beautiful song โ€œWe Are The Worldโ€ by the school choir. The comparer for the assembly was Anshiv Sharma. Our Principal Ms. Poonam Jha, congratulated the students for a stupendous show and implore them
to imbibe the value of forgiveness by showing gratitude as the first step and reaching out to people in need as a pathway to forgiveness.
