*Inter house Graffiti Competition*

The Inter House Graffiti Competition was held on Friday, 17 May 2024 for classes IX and X. Four display boards of the third floor were deputed for the same, the topic of which was Chat GPT- A new ray of Life. The competition witnessed enthusiastic participation and creative pursuits of all the four houses. The beautiful graffitis reflected thorough research, relevant content and cohesion of ideas. The first position was bagged by Pitamber House, the second position was secured by Gopeshwar House, the third position went to the Vasudev House and the fourth position was held by Madhugune House. Overall, it was an enriching experience for all the participants.

HOUSE COMPETITION: POSTER MAKING ACTIVITY

TOPIC “ELECTORAL LITERACY”

On May 15th 2024, Dwarka International School organized a poster making competition for the students of Class VIII. The theme for poster making competition was “Electoral literacy for Stronger Democracy”.
Elections are the biggest festival and pride of the nation. As it is said, “Desh ka Garv”, so this competition created an awareness among the students that every vote counts and the importance of Lok Sabha Elections 2024.
The competition was a great opportunity for students to develop their critical thinking skills. The competition provided a platform for students to showcase their creativity and thinking skills. All the students participated in the competition with great enthusiasm. They came up with some amazing posters that reflected their concern about the need of vote for a stronger democracy.

𝐓𝐎𝐏𝐈𝐂: “𝐄𝐍𝐕𝐈𝐑𝐎𝐍𝐌𝐄𝐍𝐓𝐀𝐋 𝐏𝐎𝐋𝐋𝐔𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍”

Dwarka International School organized a slogan writing competition for the students of class VII, on the topic “Environmental Pollution”. The competition was a great opportunity for students to develop their critical thinking skills. Today’s kids are tomorrow’s future, so they need to know about our surroundings. This competition provided a platform for students to showcase their creativity and share their perspective on this major issue. Environmental awareness helps us to understand the consequences of our actions and how we can avoid causing harm to the environment. It also leads to positive changes like a more efficient use of resources, less waste production, and cleaner air and water. The participants came up with some amazing slogans that reflected their concern for saving the environment from pollution. The slogans were thought-provoking and inspiring, with messages about the importance of environment.

𝙃𝙊𝙐𝙎𝙀 𝘾𝙊𝙈𝙋𝙀𝙏𝙄𝙏𝙄𝙊𝙉: “𝘽𝙀𝙎𝙏 𝙊𝙐𝙏 𝙊𝙁 𝙒𝘼𝙎𝙏𝙀𝙎”

On May 13th 2024, Dwarka International School initiated a dynamic ‘Best out of Waste’ competition, for the students of class VI, igniting a fervour for eco-awareness and sustainability among its students. With boundless enthusiasm, participants transformed discarded materials into imaginative creations, guided by the school’s emphasis on the 3 Rs – Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle. This event not only showcased the students’ creativity but also instilled in them a profound appreciation for the transformative power of repurposing waste materials. Supported by dedicated teachers, the competition served as a catalyst for cultivating a culture of environmental responsibility within the school community. By fostering a love for nature and practical conservation efforts, Dwarka International School continues to nurture future leaders committed to building a more sustainable world, one creative endeavour at a time.

ROAD SAFETY AWARENESS PROGRAM

Road safety is one of the major concerns of the 21st century. In order to address this concern, ‘DWARKA INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL’ has organized different activities like special assembly, poster making and declamation to aware students about road safety rules and regulations. The students of Class VIII performed a Nukkad Natak and dance on road safety in school. The students enthusiastically enacted various scenes depicting effects of driving without a helmet, drink and drive, giving way to ambulance, driving at a high speed and jumping the red light. Students presented the message of importance of following safety rules in an effective way by showing the signs/symbols. They reinforced various safety rules and requested everyone to spread the message to the society and make everyone aware of various safety rules to be followed while driving on the road. The students who are the future of our country bear the responsibility of spreading awareness about safety rules thereby making our society a safe place to live in.

DEBATE COMPETITION

An Intercourse Debate competition was held in Dwarka International School for students of class IX on Thursday, November 30, 2023 . The Debate was on the topic ‘FREE AND FAIR ELECTIONS’. The Students of all houses participated and presented their views in favour and against about the topic. Their incredible research was visible in their speech.

Rastriya Ekta Diwas (National Unity Day)

Dwarka International School, Dwarka celebrated the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel as ‘Rastriya Ekta Diwas’ on 31oct., 2023. A special assembly was organised by the students of class XII Tulip. The students expressed their thoughts about the great personality through thought and speech. A pledge was taken by every student and teacher to preserve unity, integrity and security of the nation. Overall, the assembly was very informative and inculcated the value of unity in diversity among one and all.

𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐥𝐝 𝐌𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐥 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐡 𝐃𝐚𝐲 𝐂𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐛𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧

World Health was celebrated on 10th October; the purpose of which was to raise awareness on mental health issues around the world and to mobilize efforts in support of mental health. On this occasion, all the teachers, students as well as helpers expressed their gratitude for the positive things in their life on the slip of paper and out of the notes, a Gratitude wall was made.
Another activity ‘Vent Out Box’ was executed on the day by the Psychology Students of classes XI and XII wherein students vented out their frustration anonymously, thereby allowing them to rant out troubles without hurting anyone’s feelings and sentiments.
Students also decorated the Psychology Lab with Positive Affirmations as it could be helpful to consult a list of positive mental health affirmations written by others for inspiration.

Art integrate Inter house Competition

Dwarka International School conducted an Inter-House Competition. The following topics were taken up by the students of:
Class VI – Importance of Cleanliness.
Class VII – Anti Gadgets
Class VIII – Waste Management
The students participated with great zeal and enthusiasm and managed to come up with innovative Slogans and Posters. Students creation were judged by the higher authorities on the basis of the rubrics already given to them.

𓂀 “ℕ𝔸𝕊ℍ𝔸 𝕄𝕌𝕂𝕋 𝔸𝔹ℍ𝕀𝕐𝔸ℕ” 𓂀

STUDENTS OF CLASS VI – VIII (MIDDLE WING) OF DWARKA INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL, DWARKA have conducted a Rally on ” NASHA MUKT ABHIYAN” which was held on 11th August 2023, to raise Awareness about substance abuse among youth in India with a particular focus on higher education, University campuses, schools and community engagement.
The minister for social justice and empowerment Shri Thawaarchand Gehlot launched the website for NMBA. This abhiyan surveyed more than 69 million drugs users in the country of which a large numbers of users are in the age group of 10-17 years.

Moot Court Competition’2023

Our school students participated in the Moot Court Competition conducted by Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, University of Law and Legal Studies which was held on 3 June, 2023. Three students from Class XII (Arnav Chandel, Pari Rathi and Soumya) participated as Speaker1, Speaker 2 and Researcher respectively. It was conducted in a room having two teams, where both the team’s speakers spoke about their memorials. In the moot court competition, our students were able to clear the prelim round. There were 70 teams out of which 16 were selected i.e. 8 petitioners and 8 respondents in the prelim round. It was actually a tough competition as in the quarter finals only 4 out of 16 were selected i.e. 2 petitioners and 2 respondents. It was conducted in a proper manner. It was a great learning experience for the students.

St. Angels MUN’2023

Our school students participated in the MUN conducted by St. Angels which was held on 19 & 20 May, 2023 on the agenda ‘Re-designing Delhi to achieve SDG XI’. There were different portfolios i.e. Chief Minister, CEO, Architect, Citizen, Founder, Co-Founder etc. The students had chosen their portfolios. It was conducted in the School’s Auditorium where the students discussed on the given agenda. It was conducted in a proper manner. It was a great learning experience for the students. Our School won the Best School Delegation Award. We also had the following winners
